When applying for residencies, it is important to recognise youre values and therefore day rate. This reflects your proffessionalism and is more likely to be accepted as a proposal. 


OOMK (One of My Kind)

- People send in work on the theme and the editorial is produced in a small amount of time

A Serpentine Gallery, The lexicon of Labour
- Talking to people about the working world
- Publication documenting real life experiences

British Arts Council
- International artist development project
- Get a residency to fund a research project (travel)

Rabbits Road Press
- A community Risograph printing press and design studio space
- Building a zine library
- People can be taught how to use the machine and are then open to use on a wendesday
- Building a library of all the publications that people are making

Fairs
- Produce own books and sell them at fairs
- This demonstrates your style and many people want to work with you

A residency is not a career path that I had previously thought about. However, since the workshop, it has become clear that this is a direction that I would like to explore further. This job role offers variation which is something that is important in my practice.
