Today's session has been an indication to how different creative people can work together to produce an end piece as well as produce a range of creative ideas. In the initial pairing, I was with an illustrator. Having an alternative direction for ideas to come from was inspirational as ideas were pitched that I would not have thought of myself/alone. Being with an illustrator for the idea generation also meant that if we had issues in describing our thoughts, they could easily be understood through drawing. This enhanced the idea process and gave the ideas a visual presence.
When it went to moving into a bigger group, I found it difficult to get my voice heard as some had very direct views of where they wanted the idea to go. Although this is something that we are all getting used to, it has also indicated that as a creative you need to fight to have your voice heard and to keep pushing at something that you want to be heard. This ensures that the group can successfully work together and all have an equal contribution.
